Product Introduction

Lifebuoys are critical, but a casualty must be able to reach and hold onto them. Our Floating Lifeline (BRAIDED OR 8-STRAND TYPE) is attached to the lifebuoy itself. Upon deployment, the lifeline pays out smoothly, ensuring the lifebuoy is not too closely to the vessel. The line itself floats, preventing entanglement in the vessel's propeller or submergence due to wave action. Its high-visibility color allows the crew to easily maintain visual contact with the casualty and the line during the stressful recovery process.

Product feature
Superior Buoyancy: The line floats on the water's surface, eliminating drag and preventing it from sinking or becoming fouled in the vessel's propeller.
High Visibility: The bright orange ensures the line is easily seen against the water, day or night.
Exceptional Strength: With a breaking strength exceeding 5000 N, the line is built to handle the extreme forces encountered during a person-overboard recovery.
Durability & Resistance: Constructed from PP fiber, which is resistant to saltwater, oil, chemicals, UV radiation, and mildew, ensuring long service life even in harsh marine environments.
Lightweight & Easy to Handle: Despite its high strength, the line is lightweight and flexible, making it easy to store, deploy, and retrieve.
Non-kinking: Thanks to special construction makes the rope non-kinking. So it can be used as heaving rope during mooring operation. Available in length 100m, 200m or customized. Heaving balls are available with us upon request.
Optional accessories: Stainless steel snap hook, floating quoit.
Life buoy floating rescue rope with snap hook and rescue quoit.

FAQ
Q: How often does the lifeline need to be inspected or replaced?
A: It should be inspected regularly (monthly) for signs of wear, chafing, UV degradation, or damage. Formally, it should be replaced every 2 years) or immediately if any defects are found.
Q: Can the lifeline be used with any standard lifebuoy?
A: Yes. It fits all SOLAS-approved and most commercial lifebuoys.
Q: What is the difference between a floating lifeline and a regular rope?
A: A regular rope will absorb water and sink, creating drag and a severe risk of propeller entanglement. A floating lifeline provides buoyancy, remains visible, and is safer for both the casualty and the vessel.
Q: What certifications can you provide?
A: Mill test certificate
Q: What are the payment terms of EMF Marine?
A: Normally T/T 100% in advance for small orders. T/T 30% against order and balance before shipment for large orders. But we can discuss on special payment terms for some special orders.
Q: What are your general delivery terms?
A: EXW, FOB are the general terms we offer. CIF, FCA is less and less offered due to quick changes on freight in current unstable shipping market.
