5.1 Design requirements
5.1.1 Structure of protective clothing Protective clothing is composed of a composite of outer layer, waterproof breathable layer, thermal insulation layer and comfortable layer. This composite can be made into a single garment or a jacket. And it can meet the basic clothing manufacturing process requirements and the performance requirements of the corresponding standards of auxiliary materials.
5.1.2 Protective tops
5.1.2.1 Protected area The protective top should provide protection for the upper torso, neck, arms and wrists of firefighters, but the protection does not include the head and hands. The overlap between the multi-layer fabrics of the protective top and protective pants should not be less than 200mm.
5.1.2.2 Collar The height of the collar of the protective clothing should not be less than 102mm, and there should be overlapping or fastening accessories. The structure of the collar should include the outer layer, waterproof breathable layer and thermal insulation layer.
5.1.2.3 Placket The structure of the placket should include the outer layer, waterproof breathable layer and thermal insulation layer.
5.1.2.4 Cuffs The cuffs should be designed to protect the firefighter's wrists and prevent burning debris from entering the sleeves. The cuffs should not hinder the wearing of protective clothing and should be compatible with the wearing of protective gloves.
5.1.3 Protective trousers Protective trousers should provide protection for the firefighter's lower limbs and legs, but not the ankles and feet.
5.1.4 Reflective logo tape The reflective logo tape should be firmly sewn to the protective clothing top and trousers. The width of the sewn reflective logo tape should not be less than 50mm at the chest, hem, cuffs and trouser legs of the split protective clothing. The setting of the reflective logo tape should be visible at all 360°.
5.1.5 Label location The label should be placed on the comfort layer on the left side of the front chest of the protective top.
5.1.6 Color The color of the protective clothing is navy blue.
5.1.7 Accessories (a) All hardware should be free of spots, nodules or sharp edges. and anti-corrosion treatment; (b) flame retardant sewing thread and buckles should be used, and the color should match the outer fabric; (c) the front placket of the protective jacket should use a zipper of no less than size 8, and the color should match the outer fabric; (d) the straps of the protective trousers should be elastic.
