Fire suits are one of the important equipment to protect the personal safety of firefighters who are active in the front line of firefighting. It is not only an indispensable item at the fire rescue scene, but also a fire-proof tool to protect the firefighters from harm. Therefore, fire suits that are suitable for fire rescue activities are particularly important.
Current situation analysis
Fire suits have developed with the changes of the times. Since 2013, firefighters' clothing can be roughly divided into two types: one is integrated with the upper and lower parts, and the other is separated with the upper and lower parts (tops and pants). Fire suits are an important tool for firefighters to protect their bodies during firefighting activities. Therefore, it must have the following characteristics:
① From the perspective of protection, it must have fire resistance, heat resistance and heat insulation, and it must also have toughness to prevent the impact and collision of sharp objects. In addition, it must have the ability to prevent chemical substances from damaging the skin;
② Adapt to changes in the external environment such as cold and warm, wind and rain, and be able to maintain physical strength and vigorous energy;
③ From the perspective of work efficiency, fire suits should have room for movement during work, and try to use materials with good elasticity. In addition, the texture, shape, and structure of the clothing should also be carefully studied.
④ Consider safety management and troop coordination, and the superiors and subordinates should be effective to ensure that the fire suit plays its due role.
The advantages of the fire suit with upper and lower parts are: high safety (including lower body protection, high protection of the whole body), easy to move, not easy to get wet, good waterproofness, good cold resistance, good function and appearance. The disadvantages are: poor heat dissipation, body heat is not easy to discharge, high cost, and heavy clothing.
The advantages of the upper and lower one-piece fire suit are: high heat dissipation, easy to discharge body heat, and low cost. The disadvantages are: poor safety, inconvenient movement, and heavy clothing.
