Gangway installation test

After the gangway system is installed, the installation and auxiliary systems of the gangway shall be subjected to strength tests by the method of applying a heavy load to verify the installation quality of the boom steel cable, pulley and related connectors and the welding quality with the hull. The gangway ladder shall be subjected to utility tests of retracting, turning and fixing to check its flexibility and reliability.
(1) Gangway ladder strength test: During the strength test of the gangway ladder, the angle between the gangway ladder and the horizontal line shall not exceed 600. A load of 150 kg shall be placed on the odd steps or a load of 75 kg shall be placed on each step and a load of 150 kg shall be placed on the lower platform, and a load of 300 kg shall be placed on the platform. After 15 minutes, the load shall be removed. The gangway ladder shall not have permanent deformation, cracks or jamming. The rotating parts of the gangway ladder shall still be flexible.
(2) Gangway ladder retracting and turning test: The empty ladder shall be turned over, lowered and hoisted three times. At the same time, the flexibility of the retracting and turning device of the gangway ladder and the reliability of the limit switch and brake shall be checked.
