Inflatable Lifejacket Solas

An inflatable life jacket is a lightweight, comfortable alternative to a traditional foam type life jacket that uses CO2 cylinders to inflate and provide buoyancy when submerged in water. Our inflatable lifejackets are MED approved by RINA according to SOLAS, with dual-chamber, which offer high standard in term of safety at high sea.

Product Introduction

Marine inflatable life jackets for adults are very safe, light weight, extremely comfortable, and can be inflated in one of two ways: automatically or manually (you can switch between the two). Ideally for sea going vessels and offshore platforms.

Our inflatable life jackets are designed and produced to SOLAS 1974 and Amendments, Chapter III, Articles 7, 22 and 34, MSC.36(63),MSC.48(66) &MSC.97(73). The life jacket is small and light, comfortable and convenient to wear; the buoyancy is large after inflation, and the auto-righting function in water is particularly important to the safety of the user. It has been recognized by the ship industry and is the latest replacement for traditional foam life jackets.

FAQ

Q: What is an inflatable life jacket?

A: There are two primary types – manual (inflates with the quick jerk of a cord) or automatic (inflates when submerged in water). Both types can be orally inflated by breathing into the inflation tube (so called mouthpiece).

Q: What certifications can you provide?

A: We offer MED B and D approval by DNV or RINA as per Directive 2014/90/EU on marine equipment (MED).

Q: What are the drawbacks of the inflatable life jackets?

A: Maintenance: They require more maintenance than traditional life jackets.
Not for children: They are not recommended for children.
Not fool-proof: They are not fool-proof and require more attention than inherently buoyant devices.

Q: What are the payment terms of EMF Marine?

A: Normally T/T 100% in advance for small orders. T/T 30% against order and balance before shipment for large orders. But we can discuss on special payment terms for some special orders.

Q: What are your general delivery terms?

A: EXW, FOB are the general terms we offer. CIF, FCA is less and less offered due to quick changes on freight in current unstable shipping market.
