Product Introduction
A life boat seat belt, sometimes called lifeboat safety belt, is designed to secure the occupant of a lifeboat against harmful movement that may result from a collision or a sudden stop. As part of an overall occupant restraint system, seat belts are intended to reduce injuries by stopping the wearer from hitting hard interior elements of the lifeboat or other passengers (the so-called second impact) and by preventing the passenger from being thrown from the lifeboat.

Reference Standard: GB-6095:2009
Inspection Method:
Tensile strength test on the tapes.
Measuring all dimension above.
Inspect the appearance. All sewing are neat and clean.
No burrs or sharp edges on all metal components.
All seat belts are strength tested satisfactorily with 125.0kg load (l.25 times SWL).
Deliver, shipping and service
All lifeboat seat belts are packed inside cartons.
Cartons are then packed on wooden pallets, with PE film wrapped. Typical seaworthy packing for container shipment.

Q: Are you a safety seat belt maker or dealer?
A: We have our own production factory Kunshan EMF Marine Production Co., Ltd. produces the lifeboat seat belts in our own workshop, so we have good control on quality and cost.
Q: Why do you use polyester tape, not polypropylene tape?
A: Polypropylene tape is lower cost, however considering the strength and especially the aging performance, we choose to use Polyester tape which is excellent in both aging performance and strength.
Q: How many types of seatbelts do you manufacture?
A: Mainly 3 types, 2-point, 3 point and 4 point. For 4 points type, there are length adjustable type and non adjustable type.
Q: Why do the lifeboat seat belts need to be of different color on alternate seats and not all the same?
A: Free-fall lifeboats shall be fitted with a safety harness at each seat in a contrasting color to the harness fitted on seats immediately adjacent and designed to hold a person with a mass of 100 kg securely in place during a free-fall launch as well as with the lifeboat in a capsized position."
Q: What are the payment terms of EMF Marine?
A: Normally T/T 100% in advance for small orders. T/T 30% against order and balance before shipment for large orders. But we can discuss on special payment terms for some special orders.
Q: What are your general delivery terms?
A: EXW, FOB are the general terms we offer. CIF, FCA is less and less offered due to quick changes on freight in current unstable shipping market.
